A British actor who is renowned in China for his impersonation of Mr Bean has decided to stay in the city of Wuhan after flying there for a holiday before the outbreak of the coronavirus.
Nigel Dixon, 53, said he would not want to spread the virus to others but insisted that he was safe and happy there.
While the city is on lockdown, Mr Dixon has created a mini-series called 'Mr Pea' to document his life in the epicentre of the coronavirus in the style of Rowan Atkinson's popular episodes, such as 'Mr Bean goes to town' or 'The Trouble with Mr Bean'.
前不久他更新了一段小視頻,感嘆:所有人對中國處理此次疫情的方式都感到很震驚!(You have no idea how shocked everyone is about how China is dealing with this virus. )
為什么呢?因為中國面對突如其來的疫情,采取迅速封閉一座城市的強有力措施,在外國人眼中是不可思議的。
"Because they (other countries) don't have the control the Chinese does in China to shut down an entire city."
在他看來,除了中國,沒有任何一個其他國家可以擁有這樣的力量!而這也迅速阻止了病毒的傳播。
"China has the 厲害 capability to do this. I don't think there's another country on the planet that has the power to do this. It controls the virus from spreading. "
憑借多年來在中國生活的經驗,他相信中國一定能控制住疫情、照顧好所有人。他真的由衷佩服中國!
"Honestly, from my experience of living in China, China is gonna fix it quick, China is gonna fix it really really fast. I do have so much confidence in that...Just lock on everything, make sure it doesn't spread, and take care of all their people."
"Let's hope this virus will disappear soon, and hope we can all get back to our normal lives... China is a great country, we're gonna get through this."
“I just want to send a message to you to let you know that we are all with you during this time. And keep fighting and stay healthy and positive as best as you can. We are thinking of you. We are sending our prayers and we are going to get through this.”
